Madagascar Hissing Roach "LLE Mahogany" (Gromphadorhina portentosa)

One of the most popular larger sized feeder roach. Great feeder for larger pets such as monitor lizards, large birds, bigger arachnids and even primates. Great protein to moisture ratio ensuring your pet will be well fed and satiated. Its like giving a snickers bar to your favorite pet. But they also make for great pets!

Lifespan: Up to 5 years for adults.

Size: Up to 4 inches for adults.

Temperature: 75F - 85F but don't exceed 95F

Humidity: 60% - 70% (cleanup enclosure as needed to prevent mold) Make sure there is plenty of ventilation on all sides of enclosure. We use a mesh size of 0.07" to contain baby nymphs and for airflow.

Climbing: Can climb. Make sure to use an enclosure with a gasket lid. You can also use fluoropolymer for extra security.

Appetite: They'll eat about anything, but we raise our colonies on Romaine hearts, sweet potato, apples for moisture content and then we have our own Roach Chow formula to supplement with protein intake. Do not exceed 20% in protein when feeding these roaches as this may kill your colony.
